Overview
What it's best for.
Concrete, brick, masonry, and clean fill are dense and heavy, a single yard of concrete weighs around 4,000 pounds. Standard mixed-debris dumpsters can't handle the weight, and overloaded containers can't be hauled safely. Dedicated concrete containers are sized smaller (typically 10- to 20-yard) but rated for the weight, and many haulers route the material to recycling facilities for crushed aggregate reuse.
Specifications
The specs.
- Container sizes
- typically 10- and 20-yard for weight reasons
- Weight capacity
- typically up to 10 tons depending on container and hauler
- Material restriction
- clean concrete and masonry only, mixed debris requires a separate container
Dimensions and capacities are typical industry averages. Actual specs vary by regional hauler partner, your ACR account team confirms exact specs before delivery.
Get the right fit
When to size up or down.
Concrete projects rarely use containers larger than 20-yard because of weight limits, even a half-full 20-yard can hit hauling weight maximums. For very large concrete removal projects, multiple smaller containers and rotation are typically more efficient than one oversized container.
