Overview
What it's best for.
Compactors are the right call when commercial waste volume outgrows even the largest front-load dumpsters. They compress waste at a 4:1 to 6:1 ratio, which means fewer pickups, lower long-term cost-per-ton, and significantly reduced container footprint relative to equivalent open-container capacity. ACR coordinates stationary compactors (for dry waste) and self-contained compactors (for wet waste) through our national hauler network.
What's Included
What you get.
- Compactor types
- stationary (dry waste) and self-contained (wet waste)
- Capacity
- typically 30- to 40-yard receiving containers
- Compaction ratio
- typically 4:1 to 6:1 depending on waste stream
- Service
- pickup frequency tuned to compactor fill rate
Get the right fit
Stationary vs. self-contained.
Stationary compactors are designed for dry waste (cardboard, packaging, general commercial waste) and have a separate receiving container that's hauled away. Self-contained compactors are sealed units for wet waste (food service, hospitality) where leakage and odor are concerns. Your ACR account team helps spec the right compactor type based on your waste stream.
