Driveway-safe dumpster rental on rubber wheels.
Rubber-wheel trailer dumpsters sit on inflated tires instead of metal rollers, no risk of damaging driveways, pavers, or finished surfaces. The right call for residential projects where protecting the driveway matters as much as the project itself.
Overview
What rubber-wheel trailer dumpsters are for.
Standard roll-off dumpsters are loaded and unloaded by sliding metal rails across the surface they're staged on. On gravel, dirt, or street parking, that's fine. On a finished concrete driveway, brick pavers, or a sealed asphalt surface, those metal rails leave gouges, scratches, and impact marks that can cost thousands of dollars to repair.
Rubber-wheel trailer dumpsters solve the problem mechanically. The container is mounted on a wheeled trailer with inflated rubber tires. Delivery is essentially the same as parking a small trailer, no metal-on-driveway contact at any point. The trailer can be dropped on a finished driveway, pulled into a tight residential cul-de-sac, or maneuvered into spaces where a roll-off truck couldn't operate.
Trade-offs exist. Trailer dumpsters max out at around 20 yards because of trailer weight limits, so larger projects still need roll-offs (typically staged on the street where permitted). And trailers cost slightly more per cubic yard than equivalent roll-offs because of the specialized equipment. For driveway-sensitive residential work, that premium is almost always worth it.

How to choose the right size.
Trailer dumpster sizing follows the same logic as roll-offs, just with a smaller maximum size. For single-room remodels and small landscape projects, 10-yard works. For mid-size renovations or kitchen-and-bath combos, 15- to 20-yard is typically right. For projects beyond what a 20-yard trailer can hold, the answer is usually a roll-off staged on the street (where local permitting allows) or a swap-out workflow with a smaller trailer.

Common use cases.
- Residential remodels on finished driveways — Kitchen, bath, and full-home renovation projects where the driveway is concrete, paver, or sealed.
- Landscape projects on finished hardscape — Backyard renovations, hardscape installation, and yard cleanouts where staging area is finished surface.
- Roofing on driveway-sensitive properties — Tear-off projects on homes with high-end driveways or recently sealed surfaces.
- Estate cleanouts in HOA communities — Properties in HOA-governed communities where dumpster placement rules require driveway-safe equipment.
- Multi-day residential projects — Any residential job where the dumpster sits on the property for several days or weeks and the driveway must be undamaged when service ends.
Why ACR
What sets ACR's trailer dumpster service apart.
Not every hauler operates trailer dumpsters. Many regional haulers run roll-off trucks exclusively because the equipment is more standardized and the service profile is simpler. ACR's hauler network is vetted to include trailer-equipped partners in every major market we serve, which means trailer service is available in cities where finding a single-hauler trailer relationship would be difficult or impossible.
For multi-market operators, that coverage matters. A national remodeling firm or property management company that needs trailer service in Detroit, Atlanta, and Phoenix doesn't have to vet three different hauler relationships, ACR coordinates trailer-equipped partners across every market on a single account.
For homeowners and small contractors, the benefit is access. ACR's trailer dumpster availability typically covers more markets than the local hauler equivalent, and the service standards (delivery windows, pull timing, driveway-safe placement) are consistent regardless of which underlying partner is delivering.
